FERAL GAME DINNER FOR BIODIVERSITY
5pm-9pm Saturday 21 March 2026 at Grampians Estate, Great Western.
Can private landholders play a part in reducing the negative biodiversity impacts that feral animals have in the Grampians region, including the rising deer population? Feral game animals from the field can make fabulous food for the table. Melbourne chef and restaurateur Adam Racina (Lapinta) served a sumptuous fixed menu 3-course meal of share plates highlighting a range of ways to prepare and enjoy venison and rabbit.
Our guest speakers:
Johannes Wenzel, Victorian Deer Control Community Network. ‘A Deer Big Picture and Local Relevance.’
Amy Coetsee, Zoos Victoria, ‘A Bandicoot Recovery Story and Black Range Prospects’.
Supported by Grampians Estate & Lapinta restaurant
The BRLMG project ‘Black Range resilient biodiversity through inspired community action on pests’ is supported by the Victorian Government through the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) Partnerships Against Pests Grants Program.
