For those who have registered for revegetation plants, you can now pick up your plants and get them in while the soil is moist or pot them up for next year. The plants are being looked after thanks to the generosity of the folks at Pomonal Community nursery, Wildflower Drive, Pomonal. As there is no sign at the nursery, you can find it on Google Maps here or just drive about half way along Wildflower Drive and turn into the driveway opposite the octagonal house (see below). Make sure you pick up the plants labelled with your name.

Thanks to those who helped with the distribution and potting up excess plants to grow on for next season. Special thanks to Neil and Wendy Marriott for their generosity with time and expertise for the revegetation plants project. And to Dalki Garringa nursery for raising such healthy specimens.
For members who are interested in deer control on their landholding:
Parks Victoria intend to undertake some additional deer/ goat control operations in and around the Black Range Scenic Reserve from the end of September 2025 through to December 2025.

The contractor will again be Aaron Hemley. Aaron also has the ability to harvest the carcasses where there is appropriate access. You can also choose to keep any carcasses shot on your property for yourself.

Thanks to the generosity of our friends at Mt Korong for a visit to another area of granitic country.
We shared stories of land care in these two regions over a bonfire on Saturday evening and lunch and a walk through the range on Sunday.
We watched tadpoles in the gnammas, admired the growing indigenous trees planted in direct seeding, and enjoyed the views.
Future exchanges are likely.
